Biography

Cian Derder obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Swiss law from the University of Lausanne in 2019, completing his 3rd year in mobility at the University of Zurich. He then completed a bilingual Master of Law, awarded in 2021 by the Universities of Zurich and Lausanne, with distinction cum laude. In June 2021, he will complete a CAS in World Sport Regulation.

In parallel with his studies, he worked as a student assistant at the University of Lausanne, in the field of sports law arbitration.

Multilingual, he works mainly in French, English, German, Swiss-German and Portuguese.

In addition to his work as a lawyer, Cian Derder played semi-professional ice hockey until 2021. In particular, he took part in National League B matches and represented Switzerland at the 2019 University Olympic Games in Russia. Cian Derder joined our firm in 2022 as a trainee lawyer after working as an ad hoc clerk at the Lausanne District Court for a year.
