Born in Martigny into a large family, she grew up in Valais and later in Bern. In 1988, she obtained a classical high school diploma in Latin\/Greek from the French Gymnasium in Biel and, in 1993, a bilingual law degree (French\/German) with &#8220;magna cum laude&#8221; honors from the University of Fribourg.<\/p>\n<p>Aline Couchepin Romerio has lived in Ticino since 1993. She has held the bar qualification for the Canton of Ticino since 1996 and the notary qualification since 1999.<\/p>\n<p>Daughter of Anne Marie Cottier and the late Fran\u00e7ois Couchepin, Aline Couchepin Romerio is married to Massimo Romerio-Giudici and is the mother of three children.
