Biography
Aline Couchepin Romerio founded Couchepin Romerio Law Firm in 2007, after working as a lawyer at Bernasconi & Riva in Lugano from 1996 to 2006. Born in Martigny into a large family, she grew up in Valais and later in Bern. In 1988, she obtained a classical high school diploma in Latin/Greek from the French Gymnasium in Biel and, in 1993, a bilingual law degree (French/German) with “magna cum laude” honors from the University of Fribourg.
Aline Couchepin Romerio has lived in Ticino since 1993. She has held the bar qualification for the Canton of Ticino since 1996 and the notary qualification since 1999.
Daughter of Anne Marie Cottier and the late François Couchepin, Aline Couchepin Romerio is married to Massimo Romerio-Giudici and is the mother of three children. She enjoys work, reading, people, music, art, the wind, and the mountains.
