Biography

Simon Waeber obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Swiss Law from the University of Fribourg in 2021, with a bilingual (FR/DE) and European law specialization. He then completed a Master’s degree in Swiss Law at the University of Fribourg in 2023, graduating with magna cum laude honors. He further expanded his expertise in German and European law by spending a semester of his Master’s studies at the University of Cologne.

Alongside his studies, Simon Waeber had the opportunity to apply his legal knowledge by working as a legal assistant in a notary office in Fribourg and contributing to the translation of the book Der Notar im Kanton Wallis – Besonderer Teil.

At the end of his university journey, Simon Waeber worked for seven months as a trainee clerk at the Cantonal Court of Fribourg in the Administrative Courts. His work primarily focused on handling cases related to construction law and land-use planning.

Outside of his professional activities, Simon Waeber is actively involved in the non-profit sector, participating in various committees. He serves as Treasurer of the Volunteer Legal Assistance Center in Fribourg and is responsible for managing non-sporting affairs and social media for FC La Tour/Le Pâquier.
